A-6a Intruder fraged for Cambodia.
Task Force Delta flew continuous missions into North and South Viet Nam, Laos, Cambodia as part of Operation Linebacker. On 23 Oct President Nixon ordered a halt to operations north of the 20th Parallel as the North Vietnamese agreed to peace negotiations. The bombing halt of Hanoi, Haipong Harbor and other tactical targets in the north would not last long however as the North Vietnamese broke off talks and resumed offensive operations. Combat missions continued elsewhere, and would recommence into the north as Linebacker II in December.
